LESSON 1. The introduction to water pollution explains the main and necessary concepts to start the course. This lesson provides an introduction to major aspects of water quality, including an overview of the main pollutants and their effects, and typical wastewater characteristics. You should start this module by reading its lecture notes (LESSON 1 - Introduction to water pollution) and solving the set of problems (Problems- LESSON 1). Then, you should check your manually solved problems with the answers given (Answers Problems 1-4). At the end of the module, you will be required to complete a self-assessment quiz (Self assessment (T/F)- LESSON 1), answers are also available. You should plan to spend 10 hours during 2 weeks to complete this lesson.
LESSON 2. Municipal wastewater treatment technologies and most common treatments for municipal wastewater are covered in this lesson. You should start this module by reading its lecture notes (LESSON 2 - Municipal Wastewater treatment technologies) and solving the set of problems (Problems- LESSON 2).
